Was a good day in Rhode Island - a little overcast (if you couldnt tell), Lots of surfboard history in one place and always good spending time with my NE friends. This garden was equally as cool and hardly explored, I took a nap in the grass and woke up with a rabbit next to me. Tough life.

Nights that end with weird jams and guys piled onto Sam's rock climbing mat for a bed...or maybe just sleep on top of the washer and dryer. You choose! First off I have a deep love for the people I met in Nicaragua. I will be going back and I day dream of buying a house in this village and doing everything I can in my white boy powers to give them good things and be a part of their amazing community. But then again I might just ruin it, what did the Europeans do to the Indians? (omg not pc!) Anyway these are some photos from Nicaragua and some of the Family that we stayed with. That pig is calico by the way, how cool. Justin traded rasta man his wetsuit for a machete. This film was expired which sometimes is cool but in this event it literally had eaten away the chemicals - never seen that before.

WRV Road Trips to the Carolinas often lead to good times with my friends Tim + Emily down in Wrightsville. We got some pretty fun waves that morning near the pier and later Tim took us across the inlet to surf Masonboro. Good times + Fisheyes. YARRR!

Nicaragua 35mm

Nicaragua is my favorite place out of the country Ive visited so far. Considering our history of supporting the Somoza Regime in the 70s instead of the FSLN - the people we met and spent time with showed absolutely no American hostility. We ended up staying in a small fishing town where the waves were perfect and the people were equally amazing. I shot 6 rolls or so but some of them were too far expired and some I forgot I left my polarizer on. I'll post more as time goes by. But here is a glimpse of what $30 dollars a week in lodging can get you - with that being said we gave the kids a ton of cool stuff and I want to bring the local surfers boards each trip back if I can.
