skate-ing
It just hits me sometimes. really hard. My legs get this twitch and I suddenly feel like Im sitting on my couch again in 7th grade doing homework as fast as possible just so I can go skate till it gets dark. I miss those days like crazy, especially when Im busy and can feel myself slipping into this pseudo bullshit adult schedule when theres hardly time to eat, let alone do the things you love. I tell myself all the time, "never let THAT happen"...but sometimes it happens for a period of time and I just take it. The good thing is, and I plan on doing this when im 80 years old, is when things turn to shit I can always day dream of the days I got to spend with friends skating in the street, riding bikes in the woods, and surfing... all those times keep me alright.
If youre into skating and dig photography or maybe want to see a zine thats been around since the 90s that went bigger time check out concussion skateboarding. Itd be worth your time. They work hard and do things the right way.

For Josh
Josh ALWAYS had the nicest bikes...it was kind of one of those things people said, "its nice but its not like josh's." Well one day Josh decided to get a cruiser and he bought this thing. A ROSS cruiser that faded from red to purple to blue and the bike kinda just sucked. Dont get me wrong a bike is a bike and I dont really care about this kind of stuff but Josh having a shitty bike was something everyone enjoyed. He eventually cracked it at kitts house, seen above in these shitty pictures but I promised him Id dig them out to scan.
best day of 2006
By far the best day I ever had back at ames or the office. Steve and Jeff showed up on this tiny fiberglass boat. Notice Jeff paddled with a shovel, Steve sitting on a cooler of BEER. Everyone was there, it was one of those late fall days when the temperature is just AIR. perfect. We drank laughed and rode till about dark then Josh nowel, Baita, Jeff and I decided to paddle the boat all the way back down the lynnhaven river to our houses. This boat was no longer then 6 feet long and puny. With all 4 of us in it with shovels as oars and 18 beers or so we floated just an inch above the water. It took us at least 3 hours to get back. All of us absolutely wasted decided to pull up to "the dock" behind matt and john conaways house to ask their parents for more beer because to anyone who knows the conaways...knows they always ALWAYS have coors light. Sure enough they did, we stopped and drank some beers with Sharron and Ed and that was that. You dont have to do tailwhips or have the sickest bike out to enjoy bmx all you really need to do is just hangout and it rules!

nothing about bmx
I have a lot of gay friends in the music department here. This one guy told me that he thought the reason homosexuals existed was for population control. He was dead serious and homosexual himself. thats fucking craazy! I heard something else today that made me say, "thats only second place for craziest thought of the day." but i dont remember that one.

some bmx literature
"I've been in full on slacker mode lately when it comes to jumps. I haven't dug at thrashmore in over a week I think. It's kinda bumming me out. Maybe I'll go do that tommorow. I'll try to get everything dialed in by thanksgiving so we can have a super sick trail session. I'm starting to think winter is setting in but then it will be cold one day and way warmer the next. Mother nature is sending me mixed signals right now and I don't know if she is into me or not. I wish I had a space heater at the jumps." - Balls J. Wentworth.

Sundays Thursdays Saturdays 35mm
Im beginning to realize analog and digital worlds don't quite relate as well as I wished they did. Scan a picture it becomes digital. Record some music onto tape put it into a digital format (CD, MP3, other crap), you're going to lose something not gain. I always find that these "advancements" aren't making us more advanced they are just making things easier. Things get easy, people get lazy, quality decreases. But what do I know I cant even spell things correctly.

bees are cold 35mm
Ive seen a lot of bees around here dying lately. I dont like it and Ive never been so sure why I love bees so much. Maybe because my grandfather had bees? If you see a bee thats looking pretty bad give it some honey, they eat it as a last resort and it gives them energy fast. None of these pictures were edited I just spent hours in the darkroom getting them right. I got a lot more to come but these are the latest.

FBM BIG AIR
All these pictures were taken from shredder bobs flicker. Ill post some of my pics of the event once I finish printing them. You can see more of bobs pictures here-(http://www.flickr.com/photos/hannahmontanna), on top of him being a rad dude, hes also a pretty sick photographer. The weekend was really nice. I know Im a bit late to be posting about this but maybe not, Im still feeling the good vibes from it. Probably the only time in my life Ive ridden trails with 30 people or something and didnt get that skate park vibe. lovely. Thanks to all the guys who put it on also to mike, evan and the other guys digging in RVA.
